the gist
A side-by-side evaluation of GPT-6 Astra and Claude Fable 5.1 across web design, 3D modeling, and UI motion tasks, showing GPT-6's superior handling of complex multi-step workflows and visual fidelity.
Comparative Task Performance
GPT-6 Astra and Claude Fable 5.1 were tested using identical prompts across various creative and technical domains. In landing page generation, GPT-6 demonstrated better brand awareness by correctly identifying and using a real-world museum logo, while both models exhibited common AI design artifacts like redundant eyebrow text. GPT-6 showed more refined button interactions, whereas Fable 5.1 occasionally produced inconsistent typography and alignment.
3D and Motion Workflows
GPT-6 Astra significantly outperformed Fable 5.1 in complex, multi-step automation tasks. When provided with Zillow property listing images, GPT-6 successfully automated a 40-minute workflow that involved parsing images, generating a 3D model in Blender, and producing a 45-second camera tour. In contrast, Fable 5.1 struggled to achieve a comparable result. Similarly, for Three.js and WebGPU jelly simulations, GPT-6 provided more natural physics and fluid UI controls. In UI motion recreation tasks using Pinterest-style references, GPT-6 produced more cohesive scroll effects and card transitions compared to the overlapping artifacts seen in Fable 5.1 outputs.
Video Recreation
Using Diffusion Studio, both models were tasked with recreating reference video motion. GPT-6 Astra produced a near one-to-one recreation of the reference video, handling complex transitions and visual fidelity with higher accuracy than Fable 5.1. The results suggest that while both models are capable of rapid prototyping, GPT-6 currently holds an advantage in spatial reasoning and multi-tool integration.
